Patience

I learned a very valuable lesson the other day. The kids were testing me and I was at the end of my rope. "Lord please give me patience" I cried! Then a wise friend told me " Don't pray for patience...pray for wisdom. I've found if you pray for patience you end up having to use your patience. Wisdom gets you through easier.... " The more I thought about that the more I realized that I have been using what little patience I have waiting to receive patience! Where as if I pray for wisdom and grace, I will receive it when it is needed to react to my children and other people who test me. With wisdom comes patience because my response will be one of God and not one of anger.
